Another big push of arctic air for two-thirds of the country and comes with winter storm, gusty storms, even flooding rain as well. Concentrate on the blue areas. Windchill areas will be from 35 below so be prepared for that, now look at the pink zone, the purple Zones there that we're really from Kansas into Missouri all the way into Oklahoma. This is freezing drizzle. Freezing rain and looks wet. It is not. It is incredibly difficult to drive. Overnight a full on winter blast covering the midwest from Chicago to Michigan. The snow and ice causing dangerous driving conditions. It's rough. If you don't have to go out I wouldn't suggest you go out. Reporter: Take a look at this driver sliding sideways down the highway. In Michigan more than 38 vehicles involved in a multicar crash on I-94. And in Indiana, a line of snowplows trying to get ahead of a massive buildup of snow on the bypass. From several days of big snow, there's really no place to put the snow anymore. Reporter: So far the winter storm causing thousands of flight delays and cancellations. Airports in Chicago a Detroit are hit the hardest. We've been through this a couple of times this winter but this is going to be a really rough next couple of days. Now, so here's the plan. The one thing I want to let you know is that there's going to be a lot of heavy flooding rain throughout the southeast. Yea they will get a little more snow today and it continues to move and fall apart. For Chicago, it's already been seven inches. This is a big deal. You haven't had a lot of snow except for this week, Detroit got about eight inches of snow and somewhere in the middle there at about 4 inches west of it.
