So much more on "Good morning america".com on Yahoo!. How to keep some of your favorite summer clothing clean without the wear and tear of the washing machine. Reena ninan has that. ? Yahoo ? Reporter: From that perfectly fitted tee to the trusty sneakers and the baseball cap you can't live without. How can you make your everyday summer wardrobe staples last for the long haul. Hi, Katie. I'm rolling up my sleeves. I like to see that. Reporter: We met up with Katie brown to get the scoop on tried and true maintenance tips. Take your favorite t-shirt. See a stain, take baby sham pop work it in there. Work if stain away. Do it gently. Put it in a tub, let it soak, let it mix around. I let it sit for a good four, five hours. That long? Yeah. Instead of putting it in the dryer or hanging it, get yourself two towels. Lay your t-shirt out. Put this right over it. And you roll that end, I'll roll this end. Once it rolled up, we'll press. Roll it out again. Lit there until it's dry. You're good to go. That's it? That's it. Get yourself a good tupperware con Tainter. Liquid detergent. The water. Put the the wabl cap in there and get shaking. I love it. Once you're done, take it out. See that balloon. This is going to keep the shape and just let it dry like that. It will smell great. It will be clean. All good. This is a great way to get those bad odors out of your tennis shoes. Take a little bit of essential oil. Mix it in with some baking soda. It absorbs the odors. With that little hint of essential oil, you're giving it some good smells. Pour it straight in. Give it a shake. Let that sit overnight. Shake that out of there. And your shoes are ready to go.
