Mick jagger speaking about his heartbreak over the suicide of his longtime girl l'wren Scott. ABC's Mara schiavocampo has the story. Mick. Reporter: Mick jagger made a public statement about his very private loss on Tuesday speaking out for the first time since fashion designer l'wren Scott, his partner, was found dead Monday in an patient suicide. In a tribute on his website jagger writes "I am still struggling to understand how my lover and best friend could end her life in this tragic way." This photo of a stunned jagger is believed to have been taken just moments after he got the shocking news while in Australia for a sold out rolling stones tour now postponed. Others close to Scott also devastated. Jagger's 22-year-old daughter Georgia may pulling out of a scheduled modeling appearance. The stones' front man and fashion phenom had been together for more than a decade longer than either of his previous two marriages. This is one of the stable, secure and strong relationships he's ever had. He'd be laughing along with her, holding on to her. It always seemed like they were inseparable and very happy together. Reporter: Scott's sudden death leaves friends and families struggling to figure out why. Last month Scott abruptly canceled a fashion show in London citing production delays and her company was nearly $6 million in debt at the beginning of 2013. Scott was known as a fashion visionary. When I tart to explore something I kind of don't stop until I can push it as far as it can go. Reporter: On his website he ended by saying "I will never forget her." Now, in addition to jagger, l'wren leaves behind two siblings including a brother who worked with her company. The autopsy results are expected soon.
