But first, new developments in the firing of "Today" show host Matt Lawer in the wake of those sexual misconduct allegations. The network is looking into whether anybody knew about Lauer's alleged behavior and failed to report it. Erielle reshef has more. Reporter: This morning, we're learning when nby executives first confronted him and what he told them. The management said they met with him week before his public firing. This morning, NBC news executives say they confronted Matt Lauer weeks before the first accuser came forward. Top brass now claiming they questioned the fired "Today" show host after learning several media outlets were pursuing stories about possible sexual misconduct. They say at the time Lawer denied any wrong doing. When asked directly about any miskubt, he said he quoit could not think of anything at all. Reporter: This, after NBC's statement, we can say unequivocally, prior to Monday night, current NBC management was never made aware of complaints about Lawer's conduct. Good morning, everyone.
