Now, to the leak in washington. The nation's former second-ranking military officer, the center of a firestorm. Accused of leaking classified information. Abc's pierre thomas has been following this story all night long. Pierre, good morning. Reporter: Good morning, amy. We learned that top senior officials, one-time second-ranking officer at the pentagon, now finds himself at the top of a leak investigation. Retired general james cartwright of the marines is suspected of information about a cyber attack against iran's nuclear program. The disclosure revealed in a book by "new york times" correspondent david sanger. Cartwright's attorney declined to comment, as did the justice department. The implications of this case are potentially huge because cartwright was such a senior official. He served as the vice chairman of the joint chiefs of staff from 2007 to 2011. We've been talking about quite a few leaks during this administration. Snowden comes to mind. There's been many others, as well. Reporter: You're right. There's been a barrage of leaks.
