Transcript for Pope Francis Tweets For Safety of Nigerian Schoolgirls
Thank you, Susan. Now to a powerful voice being added to in the huge chorus to free the Nigerian schoolgirls. Pope Francis tweeting let us all join in prayer for the immediate reels of the schoolgirls kidnapped in Nigeria. Let's go to Martha Raddatz who is hosting "This week" from Washington. How big of a setback sit that Nigeria waited three weeks to publicly acknowledge that the kidnappings happened. It's huge. They were not looking for the girls. There was nothing up in the sky. No eyes in the skies. No human intelligence. Meanwhile, the group is probably broken up. Some probably across the border. It's much, much more difficult. What kind of help can we expect the U.S. To provide? What are the odds the girls will be found? A defense official has told me we're sending eyes in the skies, the surveillance type aircraft toward Nigeria as soon as they ask for it. We do have the support teams on in the ground. No real boots on the ground. The odds that they'll be found get more difficult every day. But no one is giving up hope. So sad to hear. Of course the kidnappings have enraged the global community. Happy mother's day. You, too. Her guests today include chuck Hagel and Marco Rubio. Hope the new American assets held inspect that search.
