Reporter: Every Sunday night, millions are tuning into the story of life after death. And families reuniting with a loved one from the other side. It has many of us wondering what if? Honey, who is it? It is a way of wrestling with the notion of death. What happens to our loved ones when they die. Will we have a chance to see them again? As a person who has lost another beloved, we all wanted to have just one more day, one more moment to say the things that we wanted to say. It's like a dream come true for people, what they would say that they didn't say. Another really big important issue for people is knowing their loved one is okay. Yeah, grandpa ed, okay. Reporter: These brothers would love for their grand squn father ed to come back. He was a San Francisco 49er. A star in sports and in their family tree. He died when my mom was in high school. He's had a huge impact on our life. To see him come back, learn a lot from him first person would be interesting. Sflit would be meaningful. The downside is the idea of losing them again. How can you possibly go through that loss twice? Reporter: It's no surprise that the show has become a hit. Speaking as it does to such a deep and universal desire. Is there that there may be something more. Not just life beyond, but life intern eternal. Reporter: For "Good morning America," Dan Harris, ABC news, New York. Let's go to ginger. Staying warm.
