She starred in iconic films like "white men can't jump" and "do the right thing" now she won't back down. Please welcome rosie perez. Hi, rosie. Good to see you. Hi, everybody. It is great to see you. Thank you. Thanks for having me. Want to get right into your project. Won't "won't back down" the cast looks unbelievable. I understand you're really excited about this product. Tell us about it. It's about education. Education should be a hot topic here in america. We have the worst education system. K through 12 and when the director, daniel barnes asked me to be a part of it, I said yes. But only on one condition. That you aren't cruel to teacher, not all acher, because there are a lot of great teachers out there in america. Yes. and it starred viola davis and maggie gyllenhaal, holly hunter, and we have like a star-studded cast. Yeah, it is pretty incredible. It's about a parent and teacher who decides to take over a failing public school. And it's really controversial. Let's take a look. You know, in a way, I almost admire her. No ordinary dead beat could pull off a high salary and lowest job performance in school history seven years running. Seriously. Except you're note getting her sub ill literal kids that she hases on to me. I have to giv them two years of teachin in one. Can't teach your way out of a paper bag. These kids can't even spell paper bag, no problem. I -- I saw that when they were -- everybody involved here said, god, I wish we could get somebody like rosie perez for this role. And we said, dang, let's call her. It clearly tricks a personal chord with you. It does. I am in education. I have an arts and curriculum charity called urban arts charity, or urban arts.Org. If anybody is interested in dona donating. We'll take a dollar, we'll take 50 crepts. We are in over 60 public schools in new york and now we've expanded to los angeles. It is tough out there. I have to tell you, what the kids are up against, what the teachers are up against, things have to change. So when the dtor -- my manager said, the director said he wanted rosie perez for this, and the casting director said, why don't you just ask rosie perez. When I met with him. He had no idea waste in the business of education. I said what are you, living under a rock? And when we collaborated, I said I would like to deliver the angst to this character that teach verse to deal with on a day-to-day basis. It's a really tough job. They should be pai so much money, so much money. We thank you for that. Every little bit counts. You're nothing but multifaceted. We want to see a little fun rosie as well. We want to see you play a little game. Will do you it? Yes. It's basically truth or dare. It's "spill it or spin it." You're a brave, brave woman. We'll ask you a question and you can either answer it and spill or not answer it and spill. Spin the wheel? The first question is this, rosie what is your grossest habit? Spill it or spin it? Oh, all right? Juggle bananas. Do I have the bananas here. Yes, I do. Are you kidding? I can't do that. Or, you can tell us the grossest habit. Here we go. Okay. Go? Oh! I can't do it. I can't do it. Thank you. That was it? All right. Well, josh snack, I'll ask the next question. And you have a choice here, to spill it or spin it. What was your worst moment on stage? On stage? Uh-huh. Oh, my goodness. Now she starts to answer it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. My worst moment on stage was when I did frankie and johnny in theater. And the opening part of the play, I am totally naked. I know, that's when these were like that. You know. When I was still apprehensive about being naked, and my family was coming to see me. I had positioned the robe, like after the naked part, for me to get out of bed and just grab the robe, so I can -- and the robe slipped. And there was nothing else for me to do but to stand up and bend over. Oh, no. Oh, wow. And the audience is quiet. And I hear this young man go, yeah! It was horrible, horrible. Wow. rosie, I'm so glad we asked. Everybody please check out rosie's new project. Tell us the name of the charity one more time. My charity is urban arts partnership. Check it out, everybody. Please come back and see us
