right? Now, to new outrage, over school bus drivers caught on camera running red lights. The buses, full of kids, looking like they're in the middle of a high-speed chase. Jim avila has the latest. Reporter: Good morning, amy. Some wild rides for schoolchildren, caught on red light cameras, cameras originally installed to slow all drivers in school zone. Found hundreds of bus driver violators. This school bus is about to blow the red light. One of hundreds caught on tape by stoplight and speed cameras. High-risk moves with young lives onboard. You have 50 lives you just put in danger. Reporter: Our affiliate, wmar-abc 2, revealed the reckless behavior of drivers over the limit, by as much as 20 miles per hour. Others boldly crossing intersections against the light, with kids onboard. Not what parents wanted to hear. They were stunned. They were alarmed. They couldn't believe that once they put their kids on the bus, these things could happen. Reporter: In cincinnati, another abc affiliate used its own radar gun to document widespread speeding there. Nabbing school buss at speeds 20 miles per hour over the limit. If you're choosing to drive a school bus, remember you're carrying our most precious cargo. Reporter: Surprisingly, each year only five students are actually killed on the bus. Safer here than in any parents' car. It mortifies me. It really does, to think that people can be so careless with driving, especially with kids on the bus. Reporter: Now, school districts and bus companies thank both of our affiliates for exposing the recklessness and promise to deal with those speeding drivers.
