Got that one. It's supposed to be good luck if it rains on your wedding day, but all of the brides interrupted by sandy might disagree. So many unable to bring their family and friends together. They are, though, finding a way to save the special day. Lindssey davis is here with that. Reporter: I want you to meet a bride named shelby. She is an event planner. She says won't go as planned. But in the case of her wedding, 5% may actually go as planned. Sandy is long gone. But all of her destruction looms large on shelby and thousands of other brides' pending nuptials this weekend. Trying to reach somebody in regards to the flowers. Reporter: The fact that shelby can't reach her flours. I want to find out how everything is. Reporter: Or her hair stylist. Give me a buzz or shoot me an e-mail. Reporter: For what was supposed to be the best day of her life, are the least of her concerns. We have 60 people that are supposed to stay at a hotel. The hotel has no power. Reporter: If that weren't stressful enough, the wedding party's attire is stuck at the tailors. Luckily, my color was block. If you have a block dress, throw it on. Reporter: None of her planning could prepare her for is uninvited guest. This is the largest hurricane ever recorded. This was a devastating storm. Reporter: Shelby was among those who posted a plea. We're supposed to have a rehearsal dinner in downtown manhattan. But the restaurant seems to be underwater. Right away, the online community chimed in to help. One country club saying they're available to help in any way. Another woman posted a wedding dress she's happy to donate. The mood is more like, let's get to done. Reporter: Sandy may take the cake. But in any wedding disaster, followhese tips. Reread all of the contracts with all of the vendors. Sometimes there's natural disaster clauses in those that can protect you. Reporter: Be honest and open with vendors about your situation. Be flexible about changing the date, for better or for worse. As long as we can feed our guests, and I have a fiance to marry, it can't be the end of the world. Reporter: Just to give you a sense of everything on her plate, her parents who live in new jersey, are not only without power, but stuck under a mandatory curfew. So, they're going to miss rehearsal dinner. The groom's dad has to drive all the way from florida. And now, they're asking guests to come in jeans, sweats. Come as you are. We have to call governor christie and get an exception. Reporter: Your heart goes out for these people. They sure do. Now, it's time for "deals
