After that theft case in Texas a police officer caught on tape -- right out of the station house fridge. The suspect was in court on Thursday after his fellow cops caught him red handed. In a station house staying ABC's -- -- has the latest in joins us this morning from Dallas good morning Ryan. But if someone steals your stuff from the -- it's your office it's not a whole lot you can do about it but -- your office happens to be a police department. Well just watch. The drinks -- disappearing those sandwiches -- vanishing. For more than a year a break ended had been -- snacks from the Deer Park police department outside Houston. Then one day someone took something well -- more substantial. We -- the officer who had sixty pounds of deer sausage taken from them. And freezer apparently stealing deer sausage in Deer Park was too much detectives launched a hidden camera sting. It caught one of their own officer Kevin Yang taking a monster energy -- three days later someone sandwich for days after that another monster. Guess it was good he went back the next date for one more. Most of the items were labeled -- That doesn't stand for they steal any time. No those are -- detectives initials. Detectives actually interrogated officer Yang listing all sorts of things they suspected him of -- -- monster earnings. Sandwiches. Spaghetti Yang responded he was only doing his part to clean out the for -- -- I never intended to. Do harm to anybody over him steal anybody's stuff. The police chief didn't buy it so get this he's now facing. Theft charges. In court Thursday for a misdemeanor. Something his attorney still can't quite believe. ME cases -- -- for your refrigerator zero. OK well along with that criminal charge the police chief also suspended the young officer for thirty days without pay. That means pretty soon he'll be back on the force Robin there is no word on what sort of greeting he will get when he returns. For that now famous break room.
