Now, there's a new chapter. Amy, you have this story for us. We all remember the attack. It was nearly trumped by the story of who was responsible for it. Man hired by kerrigan's chief rival. Ice princess nancy kerrigan and tonya harding. Both with their eyes on one prize. Now for "the price of gold" harding is breaking the ice about one of the biggest scandals in sports history. You want to crawl in a closet and say, go away. What happened? Reporter: Kerrigan's right knee was struck with a baton by an unidentifiable man. Why? Nancy kerrigan, the american figure skater widely considered a favorite to win a medal at the olympics was attacked. Reporter: Harding denied any involvement in the plot. I just couldn't believe what's being said and stuff. I never met or talked to didn't know the other person. That were involved. Reporter: Now, 4-year-old harding said she was attacked by the media. I fell on my face, hurt myself a couple of times. It just started becoming really impossible just to even concentrate on anything. Reporter: Two months after the attack, she pled guilty to hindering the prosecution. Saying she learned of the scheme after the fact and failed to report it. She was banned from competitively skating for life and says she lost everything. She later traded the rink for the ring and took up professional boxing. She remared in 2010 and has a 2 1/2-year-old son. To this day, she denies her voflt to w the whack heard around the world. But still lives in the shadow of her tainted legacy. In another twist, kerrigan said she received death threats at the time and was asked not go to the closing ceremonies because she was a risk for everyone else. Thank you, amy.
