Transcript for Bertha Barrels Toward the Caribbean
George, we want to turn now to the weather and that tropical storm brewing, Bertha is packing strong winds and heavy rain as it barrels towards Puerto Rico and Florida right now and ginger is tracking it all. More than 700 miles from Puerto Rico but this thing is cooking and it will get to Puerto Rico which has a tropical storm warning by tomorrow afternoon. You could see more than 6 inches of rain with this. You could see winds up to 50 miles per hour. It skirts by dough the Dominican Republic and skirts by the mainland. There is another big story this morning. Look at these pictures out of Houston. Just north of Houston, we had more than 6 inches of rainfall so some flash flooding issues early this morning. Now they're starting to recover but that rain will be headed east and so if you are in lake Charles, Louisiana, Shreveport, Louisiana, both in the bull's-eye today into tomorrow, 4 to 5 inches and a bit more going back into the southwest. It is not just here but in the east coast where we've got big rain for the weekend.
