This underwear model is more than just a guy with a rockin' bad.'S a marine, whose right leg was amputated after a roadside bomb nearly killed him in afghanistan. So, saw the pics. They're pretty hot. Thank you. Reporter: Did you know you had it in you? Not really. Reporter: He spent 47 days in a coma. He suffered brain injuries and severe burns to most of his body. I didn't want to run anymore. You know? I wanted to face my problems instead. Reporter: That's when a photographer spotted him at the gym and convinced him to give modeling a shot. He approached me. And alex wants to be an inspiration to people who move past their disabilities. Don't give up. Reporter: He took us through part of his four-hour daily workout. And there's one secret he swears by, avocados. I eat them all the time. Reporter: And now, he's hoping to be more an a model, but a role model to others. Inspire people. Inspire people and just, you know, get happy. Reporter: You're a marine before you're a model, though, right? Definitely. Once a marine, always a marine.
