We're going to begin with that deadly mix of weather. Across a large of chunk. Abc's alex perez has the story from chicago's o'hare airport. Good morning, alex. Reporter: Good morning, beeianian that. It has been headache after headache. Here at o'hare and many airports they're still playing catch-up with delays. This winter storm has been relentless. Wreck after wreck, the massive storm creating a nightmare during the busy holiday travel weekend. L raineading to a dangerous glaze of ice across the central part of the country. And airports along this storm's path, crews working nonstop to deice planes and in oklahoma, look closely the rain even freezing on this bird's feathers. The ice buildup so thick, trees snap and crumb under its weight. Those trees are coming down pretty quick. Reporter: And threatening homes. In kansas, many cars ended up upside-down, some even stranded. This pickup truck, slid off the highway, killing the driver. In amarillo and in other parts of texas, first responders struggled just to keep up with the crashes. Treacherous road conditions in vermont caused this rollover and ice in michigan, thick enough to cover this car window. And it's not just snow and ice, overnight, this storm causing possible tornadoes causing this 18-wheeler to overturn in memphis. And flooding entire neighborhoods. And this storm is not over yet, that ice, snow and rain now moving east and here in the midwest, temperatures are expected to plunge tonight. Dan? Something to look forward to. That's the big question, who will have a white christmas this year? We'll talk about that in just a little bit but let's talk about what's happening right now. Severe weather watch. That until 10:00 a.M. As we look later into the afternoon here, by noon, a few snow showers around the chicago. Snow ongoing in milwaukee. We'll see a few showers around philadelphia into new york city, this afternoon, but early tomorrow morning, if you're traveling around 8:00 a.M., right down i-95 from boston down to the nation's capital, it looks like arounother round of snow is in the forecast. From milwaukee to green bay, 1 to 2 inches, up to 4 inches of snow there. Who will have a white christmas? 42% of the united states covered in the snow.
