Question: How do I know that the treatment is working, and what will happen to my PSA level?

Answer: If your treatment is working, we expect that your PSA level will decline. A decline in PSA level has been shown to be a very reliable indicator of response in patients with prostate cancer. Other types of testing that may be helpful include scans such as bone scans or CT scans.
