Why Is It Better To Combine Moisturizer And Sunscreen Rather Than Applying Them Separately?

Question: Why is it better to combine moisturizer and sunscreen rather than applying them separately?

Answer: Many of my patients use a separate moisturizer and a sunscreen. It is important to know that there are great products out there that contain both. You can find a facial moisturizer with a sunscreen. You can also find great body moisturizers that contain a sunscreen. Some of my patients actually prefer to use both and that's fine.

I recommend that you apply the moisturizer first, wait 15 minutes and then apply your sunscreen. You can find these products at any grocery store.
