    Jane Doe 6 was between the ages of 18 and 35 and approximately 5-feet-2, police said. She had a tattoo or marking on her right ankle. Her head, hands and right foot were recovered on April 4 on a stretch of a Long Island beach where nine sets of other human remains were found. Five of those remains have been identified as belonging to prostitutes.

    One of the sketches released by Suffolk County Police was of a slightly built male victim who police said was wearing female clothing at the time of his death. Police said the Asian man was between 17 and 23 years old and approximately 5- feet-6. The man was missing both his top and bottom molars and one of his top front teeth, police said.

    This jewelry was found on the youngest known victim. A toddler's remains were discovered in April. The little girl was described by police as non-Caucasian and was wearing hoop earrings and a rope necklace when she died. She was between 16 and 32 months old. Seven miles from her remains, a female relative's remains were found.

    This jewelry belonged to a female victim who is related to the toddler. Police believe it's possible that this female victim was the toddler's mother. The unidentified woman had two bracelets on when she was murdered, one bracelet with Xs and Os with stones resembling diamonds and a snake chain, police said.

    Five of the 10 known victims have been identified as Maureen Brainard-Barnes, Melissa Barthelemy, Megan Waterman, Amber Lynn Costello and Jessica Taylor. All of the women were prostitutes, police said.

    Amber Lynn Costello's body was found in December 2010 after investigators began searching Gilgo Beach in Long Island, N.Y., in an effort to find missing woman Shannan Gilbert. Gilbert's remains have never been recovered. Costello, 27, was last seen in September 2010 in North Babylon, just miles from where her body was found.

  • Long Island Serial Killer Joins List of Famous Murderers

    Jessica Taylor is the most recent victim to be identified. In April, authorities recovered Taylor's skull and hands. The rest of her body had been found 30 miles away in Manorville, N.Y., in 2003.

    Megan Waterman, 22, disappeared in June 2010. Her remains were found in December of that year. Her mother, Lorraine Ela, said that every time investigators find more bodies "it's like it starts the whole tragedy all over again. It's like we find out it's our own child that they found over again," said Ela. Waterman left behind a 4-year-old child.

    Melissa Barthelemy, 24, disappeared in July 2009. Her body was recovered in December 2010. Barthelemey's sister believes the killer has called her several times, starting when she was 15. "They were very taunting and angry words," said Barthelemy's sister who did not want to be identified.
