While doctors are still waiting to see how much function Culp will regain as the nerves in the graft continue to regenerate, Culp said that she is already pleased with the results. The surgery has drastically improved her quality of life, doctors said, as she can now eat all solid foods, drink from a cup, and smell and breathe on her own through her nose.
