Health experts warn that the cyclone victims face the threat of widespread diarrheal diseases stemming from contaminated drinking water. In addition, they say large amounts of water on land surfaces lead to an increased rate of mosquitoes breeding, and consequentially, an increase in malaria and viral infections.
