American Resident Killed in Mexico Stabbing

The U.S. Embassy in Mexico says an American woman has been found dead in the central Mexico city of San Miguel de Allende. The Embassy lists the woman's name as Joyous Heart, but gives no information on her hometown or cause of death. Asked about the case, the prosecutors' office in northern Guanajuato state said Thursday that a woman was found stabbed to death in her home on Feb. 1. Her throat has been slashed.
