Motorcyclist Rides Down Escalator to Evade Police

— -- This motorcyclist took a very unorthodox escape route.

Surveillance video emerged online Friday showing a motorcyclist riding down a mall complex escalator, through doors and along walkways as he fled from the police.

The video was recorded on Feb. 20 in Surrey, British Columbia.

According to a news release from the Surrey Royal Canadian Mounted Police, the man rode through the Guildford Town Centre and down an escalator before getting away.

Peggy Howard, general manager of the Guildford Town Centre, told ABC News that the motorcyclist never went into the mall, but instead rode down a parking deck escalator into a Walmart vestibule. No one was injured.

Authorities haven’t had any luck in finding the man, who is believed to be in his 40s.
