Journalists Who Have Died In The Line Of Duty

Marie Colvin, 55, was an American journalist who wrote for the Sunday Times of London. Colvin, seen here in Tahrir Square, Cairo, was killed in the Syrian city of Homs, Feb. 22, 2012. Colvin had covered global conflicts for decades, and was considered one of the best foreign correspondents in the world. Colvin lost an eye from a shrapnel wound in Sri Lanka in 2001.
