L O N D O N, June 12 -- After denying his Cabinet ministers a pay raise for four years, British Prime Minister Tony Blair has finally agreed to boost their salaries, tacking on a raise of nearly $65,000 for himself in the process, reports The Guardian.

Blair made the announcement on Monday as he continued to reshuffle his Cabinet. He will now receive more than $200,000 a year and his Cabinet ministers will get more than $150,000.

It was one of the most memorable images of the Oklahoma City bombing the firefighter who cradled a bloodied little girl in his arms as he carried her out of the debris.

In an exclusive interview with British tabloid The Mirror, the mother of that baby said, "It was a dream to see Timothy McVeigh die."

Aren Alon's child Baylee, one day past her first birthday, was pictured being carried from the ruins by fireman Chris Fields.

On Monday, Alon was one of the relatives who saw McVeigh executed by lethal injection. She told The Mirror, I could not take my eyes off the screen."

A Troubled Life

The youngest daughter of the late Shah of Iran, Princess Leila Pahlavi, was found dead in a hotel in London Sunday night apparently from a drug overdose, reports The Daily Telegraph.

The princess was forced to flee her country when Ayatollah Khomeini came to power in 1979.

Her mother, speaking from Paris said, "For the past few years, Leila has been very depressed. Time had not healed her wounds. Exiled at the age of nine, she never surmounted the death of her father, to whom she was particularly close."

The princess graduated from Brown University in 1992 and spent much of her time living in the U.S. and Europe.

Rubbing Shoulders

Anybody who was anybody was there, darling, in what was billed as the biggest fashion gala of the year.

Prince Charles teamed up with a soap star to launch a fashion industry fund-raiser for Macmillan Cancer Relief, reports the Daily Express.

Only the very beautiful or those who dressed the very beautiful were there. Naomi Campbell, Elle Macpherson, and Sting rubbed shoulders with Giorgio Armani and Donatella Versace.
