— -- The highest observation deck in the world opens today in Dubai, giving visitors an amazing view of the Middle Eastern city.

But the impressive sight will cost you: Prices start at $109 for people who book in advance.

The new deck, on the 148th floor of the Burj Khalifa skyscraper, is 1,821 feet tall, making it the world's highest observation deck, according to Guinness World Records. Burj Khalifa, itself, stretches 2,717 feet into the sky.

By comparison, the Empire State Building's top deck is on the 102nd floor, about 1,200 feet above ground.

A video taken from the Dubai deck shows a sweeping view of the city's skyscrapers, streets and the sea in the distance.

The building's old observation deck was on the 124th floor, and drew nearly 1.9 million visitors last year.
