— -- A hilarious video of a dad purportedly filming his vacation entirely in selfie mode is taking the Internet by storm.

The footage was posted to YouTube by the man's son, Evan Griffin, on Nov. 13.

"So...Gave my Dad my GoPro while he was in Las Vegas, I did not, however, instruct him on how to use it, so my dad being my dad, and a culchie, didn't know which way to point the f------ thing..."

The video, titled "An Irishman in Vegas," shows Griffin's father touring Sin City, pointing out various attractions and doing his best Forrest Gump impressions -- all while filming with his GoPro camera attached to a selfie sick. The elder Griffin is visiting from Ireland.

In just four days the number of YouTube views skyrocketed to over 4 million.

While it's unclear if the video is a staged gag or not, feedback shows that YouTube users certainly got a kick out of it, including the team over at GoPro.

"Classic dad move!" the company wrote in the comments section on Nov. 15. "What happens in Vegas, doesn't always stay in Vegas."

Evan Griffin has not responded to a request for comment.
