— -- Fall is the time for a makeover –- of your skin care routine, that is.

Makeup guru Bobbi Brown, the editor-in-chief of Yahoo Beauty, appeared on “Good Morning America” to share tips for taking care of your skin in cooler weather.

“If people follow these tips I hope your skin looks more vibrant, health and just even and beautiful all around,” she said.

Brown appeared on “GMA” as part of the “Yahoo Your Day” collaboration.

Tip 1. Switch to a heavier moisturizer. “Your skin definitely needs moisture in the fall when the weather turns a little bit cold,” she said.

Tip 2. Use a nighttime moisturizer. “In the fall you definitely need your nighttime moisturizer because your skin needs to hydrate overnight,” she said.

Tip 3. Layer your moisturizers. “It is really great to layer your moisturizers in the fall because it really locks in the moisture … one suggestion is to try serum first on the skin, then a moisturizer and then your foundation will look perfect,” she said.

Tip 4. Don’t forget the SPF! “The sun is still out there, not as strong but it still gets you. Make sure you are wearing (SPF),” she said.
