— -- Two soon-to-be parents created a clever and catchy pregnancy announcement video that is being shared around the world.

Austin and Steffaney Bass of Jacksonville, Florida, changed the lyrics of Bruno Mars' "Uptown Funk" in order to announce their pregnancy, and the video quickly went viral.

Some of the creative lyrical swaps included changing the lyrics "call the police and the fireman," to "call the doctor, my OBYGN," and the lyrics "Girls hit your Hallelujah, cause Uptown Funk gon' give it you ya" were changed to "We're pregnant, Hallelujah! A little Bass baby is coming for ya."

The original video that Steffaney posted to Facebook has garnered nearly 100,000 views, but the mom-to-be told ABC News that according to her husband's calculations, the actual view count is even higher than that.

Steffaney said she and Austin never expected their pregnancy announcement to go as viral as it did, and that every night since they posted the video they've reflected on how "insane" the response has been.

"It is unreal to me -- I don’t think that it’s set in yet," she said.

Steffaney noted that she and Austin previously had problems conceiving due to medical issues, so she and her husband were thrilled when they found out she was pregnant.

Steffaney revealed that though she has received many emails and messages from people who wanted to send their well-wishes to the couple, she and Austin were also taken aback by the negative backlash that they received from some video commenters.

However, Steffaney said that she and Austin have "moved on" from the negative comments, and are happy to continue sharing their personal story with the world.

"We decided together to share our story, and maybe reach other people that have been through [similar situations]," Steffaney said.

Baby Bass' due date is in August 2016, and Steffaney said when she and her husband find out the sex of the baby, "We'll probably make another video just to tell everyone."
