  • Christy Lewis started painting in 2010. With a small daughter that loved having her face painted, Lewis saw an opportunity to unleash her creativity while keeping her 4-year-old involved. Her face paintings impressed those that saw them, and she was soon in high demand for local events and birthday parties.

  • Christy is completely self-taught, using her daughters to practice her ideas. Most face paintings take 5 to 10 minutes, although some more detailed pieces – which have often been painted for competitions – can take an hour or so.Thankfully her daughters still love being transformed into all sorts of interesting creatures. Christy recently started teaching at the Face and Body Art International Convention in Fla.
