— -- When Lindsay Macdonald got home from a long workday, the last thing she expected was to be handed the surprise of a lifetime.

“I came home from working on the Christmas market after working a 10 hour shift and I was handed a lovely Christmas card from my brother and his fiancé,” Lindsay, from Scotland, wrote to ABC News.

The card was addressed to “Aunty Lindsay and Uncle David,” which Lindsay didn’t think too much about at first since that’s what she calls herself when babysitting her brother Stuart’s dog, Willie.

“It was then I continued to read the card when I got to the end and it stated 'Lots of love, Stuart, Katy, Willie and BABY MAC!!!,” she explained.

In the touching YouTube video, which has nearly 9,000 views in less than 24 hours, “Baby Mac” are the last two words Lindsay doesn’t get the chance to muster before she is left speechless.

“It was then it 'clicked' and I was ABSOLUTELY GOBSMACKED and could not speak (as you could probably tell by my reaction) before bursting out crying haha,” Lindsay said.

Stuart, the proud father-to-be, said this is exactly how he thought his sister would respond to the big news.

“The video shows Lindsay perfectly,” he wrote. “She always wears her heart on her sleeve, so for me a reaction like this was not a surprise at all. I think everyone that knows her would have expected tears and lots of noise from her.”

Needless to say he was correct, and the happy family can’t wait to welcome Baby Mac into the world on Aug. 3.

“It is not uncommon for people in the UK to not find out the sex of the baby until it is born,” said Stuart. “We are going to leave it as one final surprise for us and everyone else. So for now it is all white or grey colored clothes we are buying.”
