For some pet lovers, dogs or cats just won't cut it. Exotic and dangerous pets are becoming more and more popular. It's estimated that Americans spend roughly $1.6 billion on exotic pets each year, according to the Washington, D.C.-based lobby group the Pet Industry Joint Advisory Council. The Glades Herp Farm, co-owned by Rob MacInnes, is one of its biggest sellers. MachInnes has been in the unconventional pet-selling business for more than 30 years, and in a good year, his sales total a million dollars.
