Dolphin activist Richard O'Barry, the man behind the award-winning documentary "The Cove," and his son, filmmaker Lincoln O'Barry, have teamed up on a new series called "Blood Dolphins" on "Animal Planet," which exposes what O'Barry says is the hidden world of dolphin slaughter. The O'Barrys returned to the village of Taiji, Japan -- the epicenter of the global dolphin trade – to raise awareness about dolphin mistreatment.
"They are blood dolphins as in blood diamonds. It's about the traffic in captive dolphins," Ric O'Barry told "Nightline" in an interview at The River Cafe in Brooklyn, N.Y.
