Correction to 'Nightline' Report

July 24, 2008— -- Last night I incorrectly reported that Lance Armstrong was "expected to endorse" John McCain today at an event in Columbus. In fact, Armstrong will not endorse McCain. The Republican will appear at Armstrong's Livestrong Summit for a discussion on health care. Barack Obama was also invited.

As a tax exempt organization, the foundation does not endorse political candidates and Lance Armstrong is steadfastly non-partisan. "Nightline" regrets the error, as do I.
