New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer apologized to his family and the public after the New York Times reported Spitzer's involvement in a prostitution ring on its Web site. Spitzer did not elaborate on the claims but said, "I must now dedicate time to regain the trust of my family." As New York attorney general, Spitzer became known for his hard-on-crime tactics, and as a state attorney, he helped prosecute those involved in prostitution rings. (Mike Segar/Reuters)
