— -- There's likely to be some buzz Thursday about Mitt Romney's April fundraising.

Romney and the Republican National Committee raised $40.1 million, which came close to matching the $43.6 million President Obama and the Democratic National Committee raised last month, according to The New York Times. It was the first month Romney joined fundraising efforts with the RNC.

Romney, meanwhile, will spend a second day in Florida campaigning, and, yes, raising more money.

Vice President Joe Biden continues campaigning in Ohio. His focus: The Obama administration's efforts to strengthen the region's manufacturing and auto industries.

Closing arguments are scheduled in the John Edwards trial, with the prosecution and defense each being allotted two hours. Deliberations are scheduled to begin Friday.

And then there is this: Thousands of realtors plan to gather at the Washington Monument to demonstrate to members of Congress that home ownership still matters to Americans. The name of the event? Rally to Protect the American Dream.

Coming Friday: The G8 Summit opens at Camp David.
