Commonly referred to as "bundlers," these are the high dollar donors who, once they give the maximum legal amount directly to the campaign, gather money from their own social and business circles and give the combined donations to the candidate. Since campaign finance law restricts the amount individuals can give, this is one of the most effective methods of raising money without the help of super PACs and other outside groups.
