The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) on Thursday reported $18.1 million raised from April through June-- a total they say was bolstered by the Supreme Court's June 28 decision to uphold the president's health care law.
"On the Thursday of the ruling, the committee shattered the previous record for number of online contributions in one day," the committee, which finances Democratic Senate campaign activities, announced in a release.
The committee claimed $2.5 million raised in the 72 hours that followed the Court's ruling, contributing to a total of $8 million garnered in the month of June.
The committee overall has amassed $77.7 million this cycle and reported $31.4 million on hand at the end of June. The DSCC has out fundraised its Republican counterpart, the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) each month since November 2011.
