— -- Vice President Joe Biden said he has no interest in being vice president again, under Hillary Clinton.

During an interview with ABC News' George Stephanopoulos, Biden said he plans to help Clinton get elected.

"I'm not interested in re-upping for VP. I'll do anything I can to help her win. And I think she's going to win, but I have been proud to serve for eight years as vice president, and I think that's enough," he said.

When asked about the latest polls showing more Americans think the presumptive Republican nominee, Donald Trump, is more honest than Clinton, Biden responded that the campaign is still early and her experience will prove important as the election nears.

"I think she fixes it just by the campaign and for people to listen more closely to what Donald Trump is saying," he said. "This is early in the campaign season. My grandpop used to say people didn't focus till after the World Series. He's wrong. Now I think they begin to really focus after Labor Day. But I don't think there's even a remote comparison between the competence."

"The question is, Are the proposals that Hillary Clinton's put forward honest and real and going to fundamentally positively impact on the lives of the vast majority of the American people? And is Donald Trump, is what he's putting forward honest and straightforward, in being able to do anything constructive for dealing with the problems America faces? On that score, I think it's going to be clear before the election day," Biden said.
