— -- Donald Trump's campaign manager Kellyanne Conway has said that the appointment of a White House chief of staff is "imminent."

Speaking briefly with reporters in the lobby of Trump Tower today, Conway said there are "several people being considered and it's Mr. Trump's decision ultimately." She added that Republican National Committee chairman Reince Priebus has expressed interest in the position.

The president-elect has been holed up inside Trump Tower in Manhttan with his transition team all day.

Asked when the public can expect Trump's next event, Conway said "in the next couple days."

"Right now, he’s enjoying time with his family, he’s receiving many visits, receiving many phone calls," she added. "His senior team has been with him almost nonstop. So, these are exciting times."

Conway would not comment when asked whether she's been offered a position in the Trump administration, but said she is discussing her future with the president-elect.

"I would like to serve where my best and highest use would put me," she said.
