Obama Planning Trip to Honor Victims of Orlando Shooting

— -- President Obama will travel to Florida Thursday to pay his respects to the victims of the Orlando nightclub shooting, according to the White House.

"The president will travel to Orlando, Florida, to pay his respects to victims' families, and to stand in solidarity with the community as they embark on their recovery," White House press secretary Josh Earnest said in a statement Monday night.

Fifty people, including the shooter, died early Sunday morning in the nightclub attack, which is being investigated by the FBI as a terrorist attack.
