Jackson told The Associated Press that he can rarely return to the scene and that he is still haunted by the news coverage of King's arrival in Memphis. He told the AP, "I remember strangely enough that the news report said Dr King arrived today and
gave the room number. It always just kind of stuck in my mind. He is in
Lorraine Motel and gave the room number."
