Jon Garcia

— -- Jon Garcia joined ABC News in 1997, and has been a White House producer for the past eight years.

Garcia files regularly for ABCNews.com and has shot and produced stories that have appeared on "World News With Charles Gibson," "Good Morning America" and other ABC News programs. In addition to writing and reporting, he is also responsible for logistics and planning for the network's White House coverage.

He has traveled with former presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton to six continents.

Prior to joining ABC News, Garcia was a writer for the Los Angeles Times and spent some time as part of the special events team for the Richard Nixon Presidential Library.

Garcia is from Orange County, Calif. He graduated with a bachelor degree in political science and broadcasting from Chapman University and he received his master's degree in journalism from the University of California at Berkeley.
