I. Thank you very much for that very nice reception everybody going to vote tonight. Are we gonna live. And -- really. The cause of liberty is on -- well let me tell you that this country is radiant raring and we are going it is an area -- message to the rest of the country. An Iowa upset so many times the American people away and Washington why -- it is sound -- -- -- on the right track so make sure they hear our message all. All the way to DC. And that message that message is not complex most people in this country realize that we're having problems. Might we spend too much money now and then. And. -- -- too much money now and -- government grows and -- by leaps and bound. But the one of the things that they have done over these last hundred years has been very detrimental especially in the last forty years is they want government to grow endlessly we don't have the money they run out -- borrowing power. Guess what they do -- would have never guessed they start printing money. Okay. And of course that leads to more -- and now the world's facing. Debt crisis in debt crisis and consequence a natural consequence -- predict a -- consequence of the monitors estimate we have. -- we embarked hundred years ago with the Central Bank which Thomas Jefferson tries desperately to prevent. So they haven't done a very good job they took a dollar a night that dollar 1913. -- -- one panning. So I would say it's time we celebrate next year. The 100 anniversary of the Federal Reserve by repealing the Federal Reserve back. It. Baghdad a lot has happened in the last four years these products have been going on for a long time -- be nice if we can blame one person or one administration. This thing going on long time so to many young people here I think you're realizing. You're getting a bad rap for what you're inheriting you'd like a much better deal and the deal the better deal can be found in less government. And already sending people to Washington who have actually read the constitution -- will Obey the constitution and take their oath of office seriously. -- which -- so many wonderful things for us take for instance if you're tired of the wars I hope you're sick and tired of the large network. What if we had. To return to the constitution -- founders made sure in the document. In the constitution. The two wars would only occur not by the executive branch but only by the people through their representatives in congress that's the way all war should be declared. If necessary they should be declared one get an overweight and come home that's the way it was -- But didn't since world. World War II we have gone to war with out a declaration. It for that reason we essentially had not won one of those wars it has lot of -- lot of tragedy just that these past eight years these wars that were fighting in the Middle East over. 8500 Americans had died. A 44000. Have come back with serious injuries amputations all kinds of problems hundreds of thousands looking for help -- -- a post traumatic stress syndrome. At the same time economically it's been very damaging. It has added four trillion dollars to -- national debt. That is what you're inheriting this is the reason why it's so important if you're talking about peace and prosperity. You have to change the constitution. And have a lot less war and make a lot more sincere effort to promote the cause of peace. Okay. But this is -- going on for a long time at both administrations have been doing they asked and this is the reason that the message of liberty -- Actually brings people together. Because individuals see that the parties aren't doing a very good job -- like one part of the cut the spending they raise that debt and the spending as well another party is supposed to do the job. They go in and nothing changes so if you look at the candidates today. There is very little difference except for one. It. The rest. The rest of the candidates support the status quo foreign policies never change monetary policy doesn't change there's no challenge to the Federal Reserve System. And most of all there's no. No. The desire to protect personal liberty personal privacy. Protect us from the intrusion. -- -- mess -- the federal government to protect your right -- used to use the Internet. He's the kind of things that are so important so many people and unfortunately. That is not offered I believe it is the offering -- Of a program that. That emphasizes personal liberty the constitution. Sound monetary policy and sensible foreign policy is the reason the momentum is building in the reason why we're getting such a great reception here in North Dakota. And. Okay. -- in the -- -- in a -- of a financial crisis that financial crisis at the biggest one in the history of the world. There was a time when we -- -- creditor nations we would have ups and downs that we -- creditor nation. And we had a lot of productivity we have a lot of wealth and we had borrowing power. To -- we are a debtor nation we -- the biggest debtor -- Debtor nation in the history of the world our productivity is going down drastically we create significant new jobs. At the same time there's never a lack of it is for more spending. So what we should be proposing and what I've proposed is in the first year to cut the budget in real terms by one trillion dollar. But. Proposal by others is to cut the proposed increase is -- -- the proposed increases called baseline budgeting. They assume that the budget will go up by ten plus trillion dollars in the next ten years so they talk about cutting one trillion dollars are talking about cutting 100. Billion dollars. -- hear a proposed increases which means there's zero cuts. What I'm talking about our real cuts actually cutting the two candidates that lets you change policy. If you expect to have the entitlement system. Help welfare and it's Pittsburgh cradled the great free housing free food and free medical care and free education you -- do it. If you expect to continue to be the policeman of the world and advocated preemptive war going in the country occupying countries if you want that kind of one policy. You cannot do it. And you know what will happen if we don't change policy. We are going to end up in financial crash there is going to be at -- oh. Dollars up the consequence so it is -- our best interest. Not only of the younger generation but everybody we're not passing this on to the next generation we pass that -- this current generation. That is why it's so vital that we get a handle on things understand what liberty is all about what the constitution means and -- limited government personal liberty and property rights. Is the road to peace and prosperity. It. And -- it has been said that no army can stop an idea whose time has come. And the idea of returning this country to the principles of liberty that idea is alive and well -- alive and well and growing by leaps and bounds in that is why this country's changing significantly. The message is loud a clear and growing exponentially. And I am optimistic to believe that we can in turn this around that we have to cut the spending a lot of people say well you cut this this in this. And I actually am a transitional program. I want a -- trillion dollars I want -- priorities. I want to really start with the oversee spending overseas spending in the welfare occupation. We albeit would agree it's spend the money here comedy after about not ever say. Okay. So therefore you know I want to -- to protect certain as certain budget problem. For a program for illnesses we make promises to the Albert -- handed -- medical care social security and -- health care. Actually my plan will actually work protect. Those individuals. What about protecting the infrastructure protecting those states and parts of the country. It need money for you know ports and -- -- the canal and flood projects. What I'd vote for that and what I advocated by adding more debt and -- no I would not let me tell you how we could do it. We could do it by cutting spending overseas to such an extent you actually cut the deficit and put the money that you want to for some programs in back here at home. Not to raise taxes -- not to raise it then that that and actually lower that debt and don't increase the spending. We can do that -- working our way out for instance. There a few years ago. They built an embassy in Baghdad. An embassy -- -- and was close to a billion dollars but that was only the beginning this year the appropriation. For that embassy which nearly. Five billion dollars to operate -- Now that's say this say we need -- project here at home. Why can't we cut that five billion dollars out forgot about that embassy in Baghdad that's only -- lead to trouble. Taking a cut in -- take 2.5 billion dollars. Off the deficit it's bad that 2.5 billion dollars here back -- hot hot -- -- But there is there is no doubt that you can't have economic reform and economic growth -- much you look at the monetary policy. Financial bubbles are cause for reasons they come from excessive credit artificially low interest rates excessive spending by the federal Federal Reserve System. So if we want sound economic policy we have to address that subject. But you know if if we if we do all these things we still have another major problem that he has the -- -- responsibility of the government. The real purpose of the constitution. The real purpose of what Republicans should be about. It isn't to have welfare from cradle to grave it is -- for -- to be the policeman of the world. But the government of limited government that we should happen -- a constitutional republic. Should be designed to protect our liberties and nothing else that should be -- was. York. And. And this -- this of course includes a strong national defense but not an offense its European defense we should defend our country is necessary. If we go to war toward the wars have to be spot they should be fought one in a bar with and get the troops back -- quickly as possible. But. There has been there has been us a steady erosion of personal liberties in this country in that is what we've been so careless about but that's been going on for a long time -- -- especially -- last ten years. 9/11 helped create this that was a terrible terrible day but I think the assessment was wrong because the assessment was it had something to do with Iraq. It's so therefore they used 9/11 as an excuse to go to Iraq invaded Iraq -- war there as well as Afghanistan. And that that was not the cause. Al-Qaeda was not in Iraq. And they had no weapons of mass destruction and that attitude is continue to this very day because they're a bunch of people in Washington right now on other candidates think that we can't wait to we -- into Syria -- -- that makes no chance we can't afford it. It won't help but it won't get -- -- We have been careless about. The protection of our civil liberties -- right after 9/11 they passed a deal which was which which was. Absolutely -- name they called -- the Patriot Act is -- called unpatriotic iCAD. Now and if that bill would have been properly -- -- called to repeal the Fourth Amendment act it would have never been past. It is Patriot Act miles our government agents to invade our premises houses made our inner our emails. And whatever they want to look at without a proper search for. Something the founders. Explicitly a lot of -- revolution on put in the Fourth Amendment right of privacy. Today we haven't turned upside we don't have privacy. But we have too much secrecy in government we need much more openness of government and much more protection of our privacy. But. -- frustrating that might get it. At times we do have victories we've had one -- recently last month -- so. Because it was appeal floating around stop online piracy act. And this was an effort for the federal government to take control the Internet. But a lot of people like you've got word of it sent a message and Washington he even had they had majority votes of both the house of the senate once they heard from the people. They withdrew those bills they took often there -- no longer pushing for the congress so that people have. And besides how we gonna spread our message without the Internet. But also since that time we've had other things that are discouraging as far as undermining personal liberties the president announced a year ago. Bad it what is a it was legal for him as president and the commander in chief. That he would now be allowed to assassinate American citizens without a trial without -- And a group that -- -- on three occasions. So that is that is say. The law according to the president. When asked him about his -- as saying the constitution you can assassinate American citizen. He said well I can do anything I -- except those things that -- that are explicitly denied to be in the constitution. I think he has that twisted around a -- The president already has the authority to do things that he has the explicit authority to do -- -- -- It's remains a president I promised to be that type of president I will not legislate by executive orders are -- executive orders to repeal. All those executive orders. But it's not it's not only the president undermining our personal liberties that congress -- on a platter here just in December and it -- national defense authorization act. And here's that the -- many of you already know about a day it means that the president now has the authority used the military. Two -- American citizen any time -- and chooses if he wants to. No charges no trial no attorney held and the secret prison indefinitely. That is not what America is all about. That -- needs to repeal. But we can solve our problems by just finding the people who will read the constitution -- the constitution emphasize personal liberty. Liberty will bring people together there we -- today we're very divisive because all are doing is fighting over power who's gonna control the money which faction -- -- They all support the same form policies -- monetary policy that welfare -- of the deficit the whole mess and they fight over the control the power who's gonna get the benefits. But -- -- true liberty brings us together. Because people get the use that leverage the way they see it it's your life you should do what you're with your life what you want people should -- -- how to run your life is long as you don't hurt other people. -- If we carry -- -- that god if we here at that thought through. That means that if fire lights and liberties come from our creator we ought to out -- natural right to keep the fruits of all our labors in. -- -- And if we see people as individuals and nodding groups groups should never be punished because they belong to group the group should not happen that it's because alone group. But all that she come together no matter how diverse we are because just because they'll be a difference in how we use of how we -- to spend money. What I social values are what church we got -- -- we should all come together in defense of liberty and then we should be left alone and government should butt out of our lives off our back. And this is where. And if that's where we have the good news this message is coming out loud and clear and people are joining us especially of so delighted to see the young people. Because they're energized by this that there are many now that aren't so young but young -- spirit. And they know this -- and they note that the status quo isn't working the financial system McCain's economic. Theory isn't working we have to do something better. We've had a -- that is we have the best example a free society ever we have the largest of the richest middle class ever. And we are now unfortunately letting it slip away -- we have to recapture this this is emphasizing. Personal liberties that constitution. Sound money property rights Second Amendment Rights. An honest. Also of course a sensible foreign policy of national defense. There is the only alternative to what we have today if you see -- I do peace and prosperity. It could be found by restoring the great values of this country. -- if we -- that apple I cannot tell you what. The whole world would benefit so often today they believe that we are -- And so many want to promote our presence around the world because they say that we -- an exceptional nation. We are and we have been. But you can't. Point -- exception was on other countries like -- you can't go invade and bomb people say we're -- -- got to live the way we did. We'll. Look. -- -- We set a standard. Of individual liberty and prosperity and peace. The rest of the world will notice then they will want to emulate it's much easier promote our -- through peaceful he's is through war. This is what we have this is what we have to offer we don't have to go backward to go pick up pieces that we move forward every night the understanding of liberty like it's never understood before. And it's only been tested a short period in this country and lot of times they'll accuse us -- wanted to go backwards but let me tell you. Those who accuse us of wine to go backwards are going backwards toward tyranny and we don't need to go and -- Iraq. And. I don't think it's difficult to -- the problems I think the answers could be down. And this is what were all about today and today especially because there. Election I want to make sure that everybody tonight goes out and votes and makes and make a statement for this cause because if we truly want to promote the cause of liberty and restore its -- We can find it very easily in the cause of liberty. And I want to thank you for joining me that night and joining us in this effort to restore a liberty to this great country -- -- --
