— -- Perhaps to the disappointment of some Capitol Hill reporters, Sen. Chuck Schumer will not be opening for Madonna when she performs in New York City later this year.

New York's senior Democratic senator tweeted a link and a photo of what appears to be a newspaper headline that reads "Schumer Will Open for Madonna in New York."

The Schumer the headline is referring to is comedian Amy Schumer, who the senator is reportedly related to and who will be opening for the Queen of Pop when she performs in New York in September.

Earlier, the star of the upcoming film "Trainwreck" tweeted a short video of herself performing "Like a Prayer," one of Madonna's early hits. She later retweeted the senator.
