ABC's ‘The View’ Outperforms CBS’ ‘The Talk’ Across the Board

‘The View’ Sees Gains on the Year-Ago Week in All Key Target Demos: Total Viewers (+7%), Women 25-54 (+9%) and Women 18-49 (+7%)

ABC’s “The View” averaged 2.730 million Total Viewers, 535,000 Women 25-54 and 408,000 Women 18-49 during the week of May 16, 2016, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. “The View” scored an across-the-board victory over CBS’ “The Talk” (2.632 million, 526,000 and 390,000, respectively): Total Viewers (+98,000), Women 25-54 (+9,000) and Women 18-49 (+18,000). .  In addition, “View” turned in its largest overall viewer advantage over “The Talk” in 6 weeks – since w/o 4/4/16.

“The View” improved week to week (496,000 and 400,000, respectively, on w/o 5/9/16) in Women 25-54 (+8%) and Women 18-49 (+2%).

“The View” scored increases on the year-ago week (2.563 million, 491,000 and 381,000, respectively, on w/o 5/18/15) in all key target demos: Total Viewers (+7%), Women 25-54 (+9%) and Women 18-49 (+7%), posted gains in all 3 measures in 4 of the last 5 weeks.  

2016 to-date, “The View” is improving in Total Viewers (+118,000 – 2.900 million vs. 2.782 million) and Women 25-54 (+2,000 – 580,000 vs. 578,000) compared to the same point in 2015.
