‘GMA’ Is No. 1 in Total Viewers for Week of July 25

— -- ABC News’ “Good Morning America” ranked as the No. 1 morning newscast in Total Viewers (4.149 million) for the week of July 25, 2016, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. “GMA” more than doubled its lead over NBC’s “Today” (3.831 million) compared to its lead from the previous week (+103% - 318,000 vs. +157,000 for w/o 7/18/16) to its largest in 4 weeks – since w/o 6/27/16.

“GMA” scored week-to-week increases (4.120 million, 1.306 million and 911,000, respectively, for w/o 7/25/16) in all key target demos: Total Viewers (+1%), Adults 25-54 (+3%) and Adults 18-49 (+5%). In fact, “GMA” stood as the only morning program to see gains in any demo as both “CBS This Morning” (-2%/-1%/-2%) and “Today” (-3%/-1%/-2%) posted across-the-board losses.

Season to date, “GMA” stands as the No. 1 morning newscast in Total Viewers, beating “Today” by 221,000 (4.819 million vs. 4.598 million), taking the top spot at this point of the season for the 4th consecutive year.

During the week, “GMA” beat “CBS This Morning” in Total Viewers (+29%/+933,000), Adults 25-54 (+48%/+437,000) and Adults 18-49 (+55%/+341,000).
