ABC News’ “Good Morning America” won the May 2016 Sweep in Total Viewers (4.868 million), based on Most Current Data from Nielsen Media Research. “GMA” out-delivered NBC’s “Today” (4.686 million) by +182,000, representing “GMA’s” 4th-consecutive May win and 16th-straight sweep victory overall in Total Viewers.

“GMA” led CBS’ “This Morning” during the month in Total Viewers (+29%/+1.081 million), Adults 25-54 (+45%/+496,000) and Adults 18-49 (+49%/+387,000).

ABC News’ “Good Morning America” ranked No. 1 in Total Viewers (4.782 million) for the week of May 23, 2016, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. “GMA” outperformed NBC’s “Today” (4.604 million) by 178,000, increasing its margin of victory from the previous week by +19% (vs. 150,000 on w/o 5/16/16).

“Good Morning America” held the week’s Top 3 telecasts in Total Viewers with its Wednesday (5.141 million on 5/25/16), Monday (4.801 million on 5/23/16) and Thursday (4.743 million on 5/26/16) airings, respectively. In addition, “GMA’s” Wednesday telecast beat NBC’s “Today” (4.546 million) head to head by its largest single-day lead (+595,000) in nearly 3 months – since 2/29/16.

Season to date, “GMA” stands as the No. 1 morning newscast in Total Viewers, beating “Today” by 229,000 (4.940 million vs. 4.711 million), taking the top spot at this point of the season for the 4th consecutive year.

During the week, “GMA” led “CBS This Morning” in Total Viewers (+31%/+1.136 million), Adults 25-54 (+48%/+498,000) and Adults 18-49 (+52%/+377,000).
