Season-to-Date, ‘GMA’ Is Ranking No. 1 in Total Viewers for the 4th-Straight Season

ABC News’ “Good Morning America” ranked No. 1 in Total Viewers (4.210 million) for the week of August 1, 2016, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. “GMA” led NBC’s “Today” (3.954 million) by 256,000.

For the 2nd week in a row, “GMA” was up over the prior week in Total Viewers (+1% - 4.210 million vs. 4.149 million on w/o 4/25/16) to draw it largest overall audience in 4 weeks – since w/o 7/4/16.

Season to date, “GMA” stands as the No. 1 morning newscast in Total Viewers, beating “Today” by 220,000 (4.803 million vs. 4.583 million), taking the top spot at this point of the season for the 4th consecutive year.

During the week, “GMA” defeated “CBS This Morning” in Total Viewers (+25%/+853,000), Adults 25-54 (+41%/+385,000) and Adults 18-49 (+41%/+273,000).
