“GMA” Scores Strongest Numbers in 3 Months

“GMA” Grows Week-to-Week in Adults 25-54 (+6%), Adults 18-49 (+6%), and Total Viewers (+5%)

Season-to-Date, “GMA” is Ranking #1 for the Third Straight Season in Both Total Viewers and Adults 25-54

ABC’s “Good Morning America” finished as the No. 1 morning newscast in Total Viewers (5.023 million) for the week of September 7, 2015, based on Live +Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. “GMA” beat “Today” (4.544 million) by 479,000 Total Viewers to win all 51 weeks of the season. In addition, “GMA” increased its lead over the NBC program from the previous week by +5% (vs. +456,000 for w/o 8/31/15).

In Adults 25-54, “Good Morning America” tied “Today” for the week in both rating and share (1.5/12), with only 5,000 Adults 25-54 viewers separating the two programs (1.727 million vs. 1.732 million).

“GMA” saw across-the-board gains week to week (4.779 million, 1.628 million and 1.099 million, respectively, for w/o 8/31/15): Total Viewers (+5%), Adults 25-54 (+6%) and Adults 18-49 (+6%), with its strongest numbers in 3 months – since w/o 6/15/15.

Season to date, “GMA” is the No. 1 morning newscast in Total Viewers and Adults 25-54. “GMA” is leading “Today” by 544,000 Total Viewers and by 99,000 Adults 25-54. In fact, “GMA” is ranking No. 1 for the 3rd straight season in both Total Viewers and Adults 25-54.

During the week, “GMA” beat “CBS This Morning” in Total Viewers (+50%/ +1.677 million), Adults 25-54 (+80%/+766,000) and Adults 18-49 (+67%/+469,000), outperforming the CBS program by its largest Total Viewers margin since April – since w/o 4/13/15.
