“Nightline” is #1 for the Week in Total Viewers

— -- “Nightline” Ranks #1 in Total Viewers in 27 of Last 32 Weeks and Season to Date

“Nightline” Grows Year-to-Year in Adults 18-49 Demo

ABC News’ “Nightline” ranked No. 1 in Total Viewers (1.410 million) during the week of May 25, 2015, based on Live +Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. In fact “Nightline” has taken the top spot in Total Viewers in 27 of the last 32 weeks. “Nightline” led NBC’s “Late Night with Seth Meyers” (+69,000 - 1.341 million) and CBS’ “The Late Late Show with James Corden” (+228,000 – 1.182 million).

“Nightline” also beat CBS’ “The Late Late Show with James Corden” (453,000 and 383,000, respectively) in Adults 25-54 (+123,000) and Adults 18-49 (+94,000).

“Nightline” was up on the year-ago week in Adults 18-49 (+9% - 477,000 vs. 439,000 for w/o 5/26/14).

Season to date, ABC News’ “Nightline” ranks No. 1 in Total Viewers (1.680 million), outdelivering CBS’ average of “The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson”/”The Late Late Show”/”The Talk – After Dark/The Late Late Show with James Corden” (+257,000) and NBC’s “Late Night with Seth Meyers” (+166,000).

NOTE: Due to the Memorial Day holiday on Monday (5/25/15), all three programs were coded specials and each telecast is excluded from the averages.

ABC News’ “Nightline” is anchored by Dan Harris, Juju Chang and Byron Pitts. Roxanna Sherwood is executive producer, and Steven Baker is Senior Broadcast Producer. The program airs weeknights from 12:35-1:05 a.m., ET on the ABC Television Network.
